Bristletail
Class Insecta, subclass Apterygota (wingless insects). The subclass Apterygota are the primitive insects that do not have wings and comprise two extant orders - the Archaeognatha and Zygentoma (also known as Thysanura - which I prefer over Zygentoma) Both orders are similar in that they have long antennae and at least three long tails (caudal filaments) at the tip of the abdomen. They differ in that the Archaeognatha (known commonly as bristletails) have large eyes. The Zygentoma (known as silverfish) by contrast, have smaller eyes. Both are rare in amber Scanned Image!
.
At the posterior end are the very typical 3 abdominal appendages. What you see 'on top' of the appendages is what I feel are beetle droppings. There are beetle droppings all over this specimen. In this piece of amber there is also what appears to be a moth near the side and slightly bent over.
Here is the underside of the bristletail. Still evident are the decompositiion bubbles. The leggs are very easy to see.
