The insects are in a plane that makes observation difficult. There
are a number of large wasps, an adult planthopper with the wing
pattern still evident and a very small wasp. Scanned

2. This amber has class. This is a good sized piece (dome shape
with flatish bottom) with beautifully clear air bubbles and 2
termites, Order Isoptera. Both termites are worker
termites. There is also a nice gnat, Diptera and a small
beetle, Coleoptera.

A beautiful set of leaves from a moss and a spider near what appears
to be part of the spider web. Clear piece with some other organic
debris. Some cool air bubbles within other air bubbles.

along with a beautiful fly, Diptera, Brachycera and a small

A lovely piece of Dominican amber that has a beautiful yellow color,
very clear and a single, curled over female worker ant, Hymenoptera,

If you want to see a lot of winged
termites, Isoptera, this
is yours! There are so many with such large wings that it looks
like a portion
of a leaf. There is also a biting midge and a sterile female
ant. This is just a good piece.

8. My gosh is there a lot here. Tons of wings, a fly, wasps, and
a large beetle (maybe a pleasing fungus beetle), Coleoptera, Erotylidae.

Clear with a bunch of wings (some of which are still attached to
winged termites. There is also an unknown beetle, Coleoptera.

12. Three Platypodidae beetles (Coleoptera, Platypodidae): flat-footed
ambrosia beetles. The amber is flat on one side and dome shaped
on the other. It is very
yellow and very clear (better than normal.) This is a potential

A large piece that is a bit on the reddish side, contains 2 amber
tubes and host of animals. There is a platypodid beetle, Coleoptera, Platypodidae a spider
and an obscured beetle (although I am not sure it is a beetle).

This amber also is flat on the bottom. It has a lot: there is
an adult planthopper,
Homoptera, super
family Fulgoroidea,
a fungus
gnat, Diptera, Mycetophilidae, a small wasp, Hymenoptera and
a misc. leg. The amber has many
layers which resulted from a series of different resin flows
from the tree. Nice piece.

15.
This has no animals that I could see. But it does have plant
material in it. There is a very unusual 'seed'
looking object with long
bumps on it, for the life of me, I do not know what this is.
There is also part
of a leaf with what looks like a broken egg sac (it is not)
on the underneath side. Also in this piece are unidentified stems
(?) and again, I just do not know.

At first glance, you don't see a lot, but a second glance brings
up a new world. There is a ant head, Hymenoptera, Formicidae, along
with that there are some
gnats, Diptera, Mycetophilidae, a leaf
scale, a beetle
larvae, and a true
midge, Diptera, Chironomidae
and a termite
(abdomen is sliced off) and even a tube (unknown tube).

This has a medium sized wasp,
Hymenoptera near the middle, along with air bubbles and a small

23. Unusual piece, there is a lot of organic debris
that clouds the view. But you can see a caddis
fly, Tripchoptera, a fungus
gnat, Diptera Mycetophilidae and some very
strange bubbles.

This is a small piece, spherical
and flat on one side. There is a very nice
Psocid, Psocoptera, family Philotarsidae
in it - classic appearance, good

large caddisfly Trichoptera
also a large ambrosia beetle,
Coleoptera, Platypodidae and
a fly, Diptera. There are some
nice clear air bubbles along
with a few of the normal surface glazing that occurs in amber.

Large cab shape with stress planes throughout. Contains an unusual
grouping of animals. There is a click
beetle, Coleoptera, Elateroidae,
a flower
(admittedly hard
to see) and a spider.

Here is
a leaf.
There is an isopod on the side along with a host of other things,
a fungus
gnat, Diptera, Mycetophilidae and a bunch of other difficult
things
to see. There is even the bottom
half of a silverfish. Good price on this piece.

Postage for amber will usually cost $4.60 (USD) per order, anywhere in the world. There may be exceptions to this. We will get your sample
to you as soon as possible (usually mailed the same day or at worst, the next day). U.S. orders
go out by Priority Mail, overseas as Air Mail. Books are normally mailed "Media Mail", unless they are light, in which case they are mailed first class.
Overseas books are air mail unless the weight is prohibitive, in which case you will have the option of surface (ship) or paying a bit extra for air mail.
All prices are in U.S. dollars. If you are overseas and want something other than normal air mail - contact us when you make the purchase.
