To discover a mating pair of insects is rare. I have only seen a number in my entire life (but I must admit I have seen about 10 pictures!) Finally we offer the rare mating insects for sale.

Here is a mating pair of minute black scavenger flies, Diptera, Sactopsidae, genus Rhagloelimina.

Both the male and female are at slightly a different plane, so photographing both at the same time results in one being in focus and the other out of focus. The shape of the amber is 'cab' and the color is a beautiful yellow. There is a small detractor from this mating pair, the very top surface of the amber is glazed. If you can polish, then this will come right out.

This is the crowning piece in anyone's collection - the extremely rare mating insects. Those two insects have been like that for 24 million years. They who gave their life for voyeurism!

One final note, the price of these 2 scavenger flies would be more than double if it wasn't for the need to polish the stones. My failing is your gain on this! This is the best price you will EVER see.

Postage for amber will usually cost $5.35 (USD Priority Mail in the USA) or 1st class mail anywhere in the world. There may be exceptions to this. We will get your sample to you as soon as possible (usually mailed the same day or at worst, the next day). U.S. orders go out by Priority Mail, overseas as Air Mail. Books are normally mailed "Media Mail", unless they are light, in which case they are mailed first class. Overseas books are air mail unless the weight is prohibitive, in which case you will have the option of surface (ship) or paying a bit extra for air mail. All prices are in U.S. dollars.
