1. Small piece, but
perfect in every way. The amber is very clear and easy to see
the millipede,
which is close
to the middle. Good price on this one.

2.
This piece is over an inch in
length and has a wonderful millipede
in it - one of the nicest I've seen. Very clear amber and just
a rare and great specimen.
There is also a female worker ant near the millipede. The legs
of the millipede have an unusual pattern on them, take a look.

A rather interesting
piece with a nice millipede
and what
looks like small
fuzzy twigs. Good price on this
one.

4. This is quite the piece. There is a complete centipede and
a lot more. Looks like a fungus gnat was caught in the act of
laying eggs (unusual.) There is at least one fly with some fungus gnat
on it's back and one beetle. This is a very nice piece with quality
inclusions.

This is just a beautiful
piece of small amber with a perfect
millipede. Take a look
at the pictures, you will agree.

6. Nice cab with a fairly good sized beetle larvae - looks like
a rove beetle larvae to me, but then most of the larvae look the
same.

7. This one I am not sure about. While it does appear to have
segmentation similar to larvae, it also looks like it has pincers
in the abdomen - I do not think it is a mayfly and I suspect it
is not a larva, I just do not know. The amber is very large, roundish
and very clear. This is a very nice specimen! Scanned Image

8. 2 very nice larva - one small and the other larger. This piece has
everything in it. A very nice gnat (looks like, but is not, a mosquito
- fungus gnat). It even has the remnants of a silverfish.
Here is a preverbal beetle!

9. Interesting piece of amber. Good sized with two
large
wasps, Hymenoptera. Off to one side is what looks like a larva
that is twisted at a 90 degree angle. It almost
looks juicy! Small but very nice larva.

10. A very small but perfect piece with a nice larva
of a beetle - looks like a mealy bug larvae to me (I am sure it
is not)! You can't go wrong on this one. Scanned Image!

11. There is not just one millipede here, but a
total of 5! The amber is just slightly irregular in shape and
contains some great looking millipedes. There is some organic
debris here - all in all, just a lovely piece to look at.

13.
Every once in a while you run across specimens that just have
"the spark". This
one does. There are 4
beetle larvae swimming in a sea of crystal
bubbles The amber is clear
and the bubbles have a crispness
that is seldom seen (really).
I wish I could tell what type of beetle larvae they are, but I
just cannot. You will enjoy looking at these pictures. Scanned Image!

14. Centipedes are NOT common in amber, much less
Dominican amber. But here
is a beauty. The antennae are very thick
on this guy. There are a few amber glazing surface cracks on the
side away from the centipede. This is a rare
piece, at a GREAT price. You just do not see these very often.
The piece is loaded with other life (mainly Dipterans) Scanned Image!

15. Wow, here is a millipede
(large one at that) that is sliced off at both ends and what you
have is the middle of the guy. He is large with fairly good
sized legs. His loss is definitely
your gain! He happens to be sitting on an adult
planthopper, Homoptera, Fulgoroidea (you can't see it well,
but I can see the distinctive wings.)

16. This is a very small (15 mm in length) millipede.
This one though has too many
legs! I cannot ID it. Possibly this is a new
genus of millipede - for anyone out there knowing their archaic
millipedes. This one might be named by you (I would love to
have my name in the species.............If so, I will refund your
money) Scanned Image

17. Millipede:
Order Polyxenida, Class Diplopoda, Polyxenidae! This specimen is as nice as
they get. Perfectly clear yellow amber and easy
to see. You can see each segment
along with the hairs. This specimen is priced very well! This is a magnificent
piece of amber with the specimen easily seen. It is believed
to be the 2nd ever known and photographed. Scanned Image!

18. Possibly
a larvae of an unknown
insect. The amber is tear drop shape, flattish on one side
and perfectly clear throughout. Superb specimen. The larvae is curled. Scanned Image

unknown larvae. Nice shape

are also 2 other flies in this amber. Scanned Image

20. This is a large hunk of amber. It weighs
17.6 grams (that is a lot for amber, which is very light.) The
larvae is small but easily seen. There is a small air bubble near it which blocks the
view if observed from that side. An ant and a large fly are off
to the side. Scanned Image!

that special piece. Scanned Image

22. Long
and large piece with a
very small larvae. There
is also a fly and other debris that was on the forest floor. Interesting.

23. This is the third one!
Millipede: Order Polyxenida, Class Diplopoda, Polyxenidae! This specimen is also as nice
as they get. Very clear yellow amber and also easy to see. You can see each segment
along with the hairs.
It is believed to be the 3rd ever known and photographed.
I realize that it is hard to believe the both of them are right
here, but it is true! There is a leaflet
to boot. On the under side of this leaflet, it appears that
there is some sort of 'scale'
on it - at least that it was it looks like. Scanned Image!

24. Super
clear yellow amber with 1
small beetle larvae and 2
gnats (Diptera). The larvae and gnats (one male and one female)
are along an 'amber plane' right near the middle. The amber plane
was made by a second resin flow over the animals. There is also
a small fly, Diptera on the
other side. This is a very nice piece. Take a look at the scan

26. Large
piece of amber with lines through out the piece. The is a large
curled millipede in this
piece. Also included is a small
wasp and some type of
fly. The millipede
is on the side and does not scan well. It is a good millipede
though! the antennae are rather thick and large on this guy.

27. Here is a millipede that appears to have
"walked" through a spider web (trailing behind it).
At the anterior portion is either another part of a spider web
or a fungal attachment. I am not sure on this. It is cool looking
though! There is also a mite off to the side!

28. Almost
square piece of amber that is cloudy on one side. There is a
nice millipede and contains about 3/4 of the body. Very interesting
segmentation to it! On the cloudy side is what looks like 2
fractions of other millipedes.
