Sale Price Description of the Specimen $41 105. I get a kick out of pieces like this. There is a lot here - a tropical stingless bee, Hymenoptera, Meliponini, genus Proplebeia. On top of that there is a winded termite, Isoptera and a very special unknown animal (just not sure on this.) This is sure to be an interesting piece of Dominican amber. Scanned Image! $49 106. Plants and animals. There are a lot of bits of plants in this piece - in fact all over, cool looking. There is also a centipede (part of one) that is difficult to see. Scanned Image! $79 107. David and Goliath - good sized piece with two different species of ants, Hymenoptera, Formicidae, one very large and the other small. Very sharp piece. I'm not 100% sure on this - spider or daddy-longlegs (Opiliones or harvestmen). This one certainly has long legs. Wonderful specimen, clear, perfect color and a "spider" that is out of this world. It contains a full size adult planthopper, Homoptera, super family Fulgoridea, a complete winged termite, Isoptera, 3 flies, Diptera and above the left wing of the planthopper is a mite (not shown in photographs)! Off to one side is what looks like a larva that is twisted at a 90 degree angle. It almost looks juicy! Small but very nice larva. There are beetles, files and ants in this piece. There is even a barklouse, Pscoptera. Finally there is a bark-gnawing beetle, Coleoptera, Ostomatidae. Very clear and if you want to impress, this is it. Scanned Image! $587 134. Clear and large. This even has a number of wasps inside the amber. It is quite the piece, 120 grams (454 grams in a pound). Has some stress spots which add to the beauty of the piece. Really impressive, you cannot go wrong. Scanned Image! $66 135. 4 pinhole borer beetles (Coleoptera, Family Platypodidae), a small wasp, and a shed of an immature planthopper, among lots of air bubbles, organic debris and other bits. Half a tear drop shape to this clear yellow Dominican amber. There is part of a leaf, along with the head from an ant, a fungus gnat, Diptera, Myceptophilidae and some strange looking "hairs" which I cannot ID. Scanned Image! $456 137. Except for not being centrally located, this is the perfect Pseudoscorpion. The amber is exceptionally clear and the Pseudoscorpion has both pincers out to attach or get the next ride. Very nice. The animal is big - more than .5 inches, but here is the kicker, I am not sure what it is. Maybe a leafhopper, Homoptera? It is really nice, no matter what it is. Take a look at the scanned image. Nice sized piece of yellow amber (fat bottom) with a fungus gnat, Diptera, Mycetophilidae and some unique organic inclusions. The shape is perfect for a pendant and the clarity is out of this world. There is some debris which I feel are coprolites and also a single, centered, gall gnat, Cecidomyiidae. Great price on this. Scanned Image! $154 145. Nice shape to this amber. It rather triangular shaped and thin. This piece of amber though contains a very large mite, Opiliones, suborder Laniatores. The mite is almost 1/4 inch long - that is big. Scanned Image! $48 146. This longish piece has a winged termite. Rather large, the termite is partly obscured by air bubbles - cool piece though. There are some 25 million year old air bubbles, some organic matter and two black scavenger flies, Diptera, Scatopsida. Scanned Image! $99 148. "You want crickets - we've got crickets". Smallish piece with a nice cricket, Orthoptera, easily seen and easy on the pocket. Scanned Image! $49 149. An interesting stone - nice cab shape, very clear and rather a good size. Contains a small true bug, a gnat bug, Hemiptera, a Anthocorid or possibly a Mirid species - you do not see a lot of these. Scanned Image! $74 150. A very good piece of amber. Clear, easy to see and this has two interesting animals (actually more than two). One is a planthopper, Fulgoridea, Homoptera and the other I am not sure. They are both next to each other. Cool looking. Also a gall gnat, Cecidomyiidae and a hard to see immature planthopper. Scanned Image! $102 SOLD 151. Not big, but a nice cab shape. This is an unusual piece. There is one bug that at first I thought was a twisted wing, since it has the raspberry eyes, but now I do not think it is (I wish it was though!) I do not know what it is. There is a beautiful fungus gnat, Diptera, Mycetophilidae and also what I think may be a large wasp, Hymenoptera. Scanned Image! $172 152. This is really easy to see - a flower bud. It is very unusual to find one, much less to find one this large. This is quite a piece! There is also a small ant and planthopper. You can see 2 stress planes - but this does not detract from the scientific nor beauty of the piece. Scanned Image! $278 153. Probably one of the finest planthopper nymphs I have ever seen, Homoptera, Fulgoridea. The nymph is text book and the amber is perfectly clear with a wonderful yellow. First there is a good sized leaf beetle, Coleoptera, Chrysomelidae. Along with that is what may the molt of a thrip, Thysanoptera and finally there is a barklouse, Psocoptera. Books are normally mailed "Media Mail", unless they are light, in which case they are mailed first class.
