Animal Skin SOLD
This is a very small piece of skin, about 3 mm in length. What kind of skin it is, I do not know. Here are two guesses though. One, it may be the remains of a shed from a snake. It might have been just a small part that came off the larger shed. Number two, it may be part of a pushed off piece skin from an Anolis lizard. Such as a piece that came from the leg as it brushed up against a twig. There is one thing we are certain about; this is a part of an animal's skin, probably part of a shed. Just an impossibility to find in amber! In fact, I have never ever seen anything like this at all in any type of amber. This is an impossibly rare piece from an animal! Here is a Scanned Image of the entire piece of amber.
This is a greatly enlarged close up of the piece of skin shed. Any ideas?
.
Of course there is more than the skin shed. Here is a female worker ant missing a few of lower parts of its legs.
There are also some unknown species of plant stamens near the skin. I can count at least 3 stamens - one of which looks like a mushroom (it is not a mushroom.)
The amber is about .75 inches by 1 inch in a thick tear drop shape. Not only have I never seen anything like this, I have never ever seen anything like this FOR SALE! This is such a rare find that it will be the prize in any collection.
